aura

Meaning

  1. Social standing, counted in points and lost through embarrassment.
  2. Presence. What a person has when they do nothing and still win.

“He tripped on the stairs in front of everyone. Minus 1,000 aura.”

Where it came from

From the Greek for a breeze, via Latin. The points system took off in 2024, when people began scoring each other’s public behavior out loud.
