sending me

Meaning

  1. Said when something is so funny or absurd it’s overwhelming.
  2. Used as a comment under a video or post that’s too much to handle.

“The cat knocked over the plant and just walked away. Sending me.”

Where it came from

Grows out of African American Vernacular English, where movement language like “sending me to glory” described being overcome by strong feeling. The phrase moved into general internet reaction culture, especially as a TikTok comment, through the early 2020s.
