1. I just burst out laughing: a stronger version of LOL.
2. Used the same way LOL is, as a reaction to something funny.

Where it came from

The acronym dates back to at least 2009 on early Twitter and Urban Dictionary, but it stayed obscure for over a decade. K-pop fan communities revived it around 2021 while reacting to idol clips, and it spread widely on X by 2023.
