The drawing surfaced on the Polish imageboard Vichan under the filename “ciepłatwarz.jpg,” or “warmface,” before a user named Wojak shared it on the German board Krautchan in 2010. 4chan built an entire vocabulary of “feels” around the blank face, and it has been redrawn into thousands of variants since.

The face reads fine as a flat plaque. Do not try to sculpt the expression, it does not have one.
